Daily Journal Continued November 13,1998, By William Thomas Thompson The joy of knowing I have done my best,not a lazy bone in me. I am sore all over from the strain of reaching so high to paint a 40foot trailer 12feet high with only an 8foot ladder and I had to stay down 2steps tobalance myself,I kept pushing until I finished and was invited to eat dinner at the Seda Mission with the men. I droveup here to DaytonnaBeach and found a nice little motel right on the beach for $25.00,it is clean and run by a Chinese family. After breakfast I drove over to Apopka to try and get the gear of my old transmission to exchange but the man was unhappy to see me coming and did not have it saved,he advised me to try a speedome-ter shop. These trials happen to us especially when we are trying to do good. Why should I fret so long as God provides me with air to breath and food to eat,with water to drink,with a car to drive and a billboard to paint and a way to witness. Be happy and cont-ent with what you have and where you are. I drive up I-4 guessing at my speed and using the milemarkers to judge and going with the flow. I stopped at exit95at SaintAugustine to see the fort again and notice they have painted over the bill board sign with white. The devil sure got into this. When you start to paint the gospel, Satan goes on a rampage to destroy the work. If it takes money or fancy churches to spread the Gospel,then the Gospel would not be worth spreading. We cannot make people believe,we can only do the service of the Lord and the Lord will do the hard part,this place is so hardened with the devil settled in for400years in his false doctrine until it will take a mighty force to unseat the beast. This is Friday the 13th.but I donot believe in superstition. My next stop is at the JacksonvilleFarmersMarket to load on fruit and especially white grapefruit so high in vitamin C to save,keep me from having a cool or flu and maybe a hundred other things of a sick and deadly nature,a report I heard revealed that a certain percent of people taking flushots do take Guillain-Barre Syndrome but defended the flu shots still saved many lives. I never took a flu shot in my life. I always believed that God gave me sense en-ough to know what is bad and what is good for me."Scientists have long known that two out of three cases of the numbing disease are triggered by an earlier illness brought on by any of a number of viruses and bacteria",I never had a virus before experiencing the numbness. I believe that I shall recover all of mymuscle actions. Dear Lord,give us love for our neighbors all over the world. The race now to prepare for departure on this all important trip to see the great art of Europe and especially in the catacombs of Rome. Thanks to Northwest Air Lines for free tickets for us to go round trip. Today for me is to get home and it is getting later I see darkness and rain up the road from about the Georgiastateline with more than 300mile yet to travel. We cannot avenge any enemy, God Almighty is the avenger in time as in judgement. Let us rush ahead in God's service to please Him and never look back. I thou-ght St.Augustine was the perfect place but if the end is near,the need for a message in this area may be nil. If fires burn one 4th of the state of Florida and I could not breath here while all the fires were burning then tourist traffic here will be no more. The World of Disney will be closed and lost.
